As a well-seasoned Public Relations practitioner, Ifind it necessary for me to rely on social media for publicity and visibility on the net in order to stay relevant to the society by also maintaining genuine relationships.
Hence, why I listed all the benefits that come with social media for PRP's.
- SEO RANKING- this benefits a blog's or websites's online presence as it improves a blogs's quality if however, I post newsworthy content that strikes attention for readers.
- COVERSION RATES- this aspect is more about engagement between a blogger and the readers whom would ultimately respond in the form of comments or likes on posts and that means that the blog would've created a good brand awareness on the net that searching and browsing through the blog equates to actual interaction.
- COST EFFECTIVE- this form of social networking is both effective in productivity and cost, and that is the best thing a PRP can ever ask for in publicity reach. Blogging specifically is not costly because no print resource is needed to publish content like newspapers and no money is needed in publishing content, just your laptop, tranquility and internet access will do!

BACKTRACKS OF SOCIAL MEDIA FOR PRP'S.
- PROFESSIONALISM- social media gives people leeway for people to state their minds freely and that makes them insensitive to another persons emotions and that results to defamation and insults.
- DECREASE REAL-LIFE COMMUNICATION- the power of social media hinders the maintaining of real relationships because authentic relations cannot simply be sustained through texts and social life.
- FALSE SELF-IMAGE- social media is not always accurate and real therefore people can be false and not transparent, so real relations cannot form on social media. Readers can be superficial in their responses and that's why images may be false.
- NEWSWORTHY STORIES- its difficult enough to develop an interesting story but then a newsworthy one that can create the desire for readers to be loyal in commentating,. So, it it already a challenge for PRP's to be consistent on social media and that will not secure a successful network.

ReplyDeleteAs much as social media influences people differently and to some just makes them lose that little self-esteem they have about themselves - somewhere some how, as a human being, it all has to start with self appreciation and self love, then, that's when people will appreciate how important being natural it is and it comes with all freedom and originality.

Deletei love the fact that you inspire woman to embrace their own natural skin.
ReplyDeleteThank you Vivian, you are beautiful!
DeleteBeauty is from within, and a woman who is truly a beautiful person looks great just hanging out and being herself in a pair of gray sweatpants and no makeup on. Social media has an influence this movement to make them feel confident with their looks.
